The program first uses total wins by each wrestler to set the finishing positions (most wins gets 1st, second most gets 2nd, ...).  For wrestlers that have the same number of wins, the program uses head-to-head match results in attempt to break the tie.  For three or more wrestlers with the same number of wins, they will remain tied unless one of the group beat all others in the group.  The remaining wrestlers in the group will be tested for head-to-head results to determine placing.  This is the criteria used in all Round-Robin brackets.

We investigated using additional criteria to break ties (e.g. most pins, highest delta score).  In the end we couldn't find a rule set that would make the majority of tournament directors happy.  If you have specific criteria, please post them in the "Suggest Enhancements" topic.  We use that topic to create enhancement requests.
