Identify Paid Entries

Would like to see if there is a way to place an indication of paid entries from Pre-Registration when printing weigh-in cards.

Re: Identify Paid Entries

Please provide complete information on how the program would know if a contestant has paid.  For example, do the Contestants by team and Contestants by bracket windows need a check box?  Do you expect the paid/not paid information to be available when importing wrestler names (not from a Pre-Registration file)?

The process we describe in our open tournaments supplement assumes no contestant gets a weigh-in card unless they have paid.  It would be helpful to understand your process which allows someone to get a weigh-in card without paying.

Re: Identify Paid Entries

I'm  not sure how it would work. I usually download the registration file from Trackwrestling and import it to the SR program.  The file has a column that details if the person registering has paid online.  I would like to have that information printed on the registration/weigh in cards so we can readily identify if they have paid or not.

Re: Identify Paid Entries

We have several old registration files from TW.  In our files, there are several columns that might indicate payment received.  The candidate column titles are "CC Submitted", "Payment Received", "Invoice #", and "Amount Paid".

Unfortunately, our example files don't have these columns populated.  Please provide information on which column(s) you want to use to indicate the wrestler has paid and example information that appears in such columns (e.g. do they contain dollar amounts, "Y" or "N", the presence or absence of an arbitrary number?).

Re: Identify Paid Entries

We usually use the amount paid column and it does show the amounting a numerical value.  This column is best because sometimes the other columns will show CC submitted but it may have been declined.  The most reliable is the amount paid column, we can change it to say "paid" once we download it if it makes it easier. All we need is a column that will be identifying those who have prepaid.

Re: Identify Paid Entries

Checking to see if there is any traction on this option. Our process for tournament registration allows us to have everything completed the night prior to the tournament.  Registration, late entries, and weigh-ins are completed the night before and based on what we receive from the attending clubs/teams we build the brackets. The day of the tournament we delete No-Shows, Non-Payment, and failure to weigh-in after giving them the opportunity to complete the process the morning of the tournament. The club coaches send in all weigh-ins for wrestlers intending to wrestle in the tournament.  There will be some that did not pay On-Line and we will settle payment, or any other unfinished business, at check-in.
Just would like to see if there is the option to have the payment requirement identified on their weigh-in/check-in card. When we used track in the past the weigh-in cards printed would tell us if the wrestler paid.  Then we would have the wrestler remit payment before handing them their weigh-in/check-in card.
Thinking of it, it might be a good idea to have the actual weight printed onto the card if we record their actual weight in the Tournament SR program prior to printing the registration cards. In this case we would have a card that would show if the wrestler paid and weighed in.  If any of the two did not happen we could send the wrestler to the appropriate area to finalize the registration process.

Re: Identify Paid Entries

We are currently working on a different feature, so this hasn't been scheduled for development.  The next version (7.2.0) should be released sometime in January.  While there is chance this feature could be part of 7.2.0, I would expect it to show up in a later version.

If you have time, it would be good for you to email us an example of what you'd like the revised registration card to look like.  This is especially important for the smaller format card (8 per page) since there is so little room.  Attach the picture/drawing/scan to an email sent to tournamentsr@smartrunsys.com.

Re: Identify Paid Entries

Initial support for this feature will be included in the next release: v7.2.0.  More complete support will be added in subsequent releases.

Re: Identify Paid Entries

TournamentSR v7.2.0 supports a "paid" field for each contestant (wrestler).  The paid field can be loaded from a preregistration file, set by RegistrationSR, and set from the [Contestants by bracket] and [Contestants by team] windows.  If the paid field is non-blank, "PAID" appears on the printed registration card.
